Olympics Moms are Shattering Stereotypes and Inspiring us all
The Winter Olympics have commenced and what a spectacular show of sportsmanship it has been so far. There is something inherently inspiring about seeing so many different athletes from so many different countries come together.
There is definitely no shortage of inspiring stories that come with each athlete and that makes the Olympics entertaining to watch. But as a mom, I am truly excited about these 5 Olympians and Paralympians who are mothers competing this year. Being a mom and raising children is a demanding task all by itself. Add to that training to be an Olympic athlete and it's easy to find inspiration. As you watch the Olympics, follow these 5 women and cheer them on as they persevere and push their limits. These extraordinary women are shattering stereotypes and are true inspirations for all of us.
Of course, we cannot all be professional athletes, but we can aspire to be healthy and maintain an active life. The easiest way to maintain a healthy lifestyle is to get outdoors and get moving. Most outdoor winter sports can be enjoyed even as a beginner. Skiing, ice-skating, sledding and snowshoeing are all great family activities that take you outdoors and get your blood pumping. Building a snowman, making snow angels and even a snowball fight can be both entertaining and a great exercise.
And if you are looking for some more inspiration, these amazing moms actually competed and performed record-breaking feats while being pregnant! They certainly give new meaning to exercising throughout pregnancy.
Enjoy the Olympic season and get inspired by these exceptional women who are Olympic athletes and moms, a rare achievement to say the least.

Fifth time Olympian in cross-country skiing, she gave birth to her son in 2016 and is already back to competing health. Randall is a vocal advocate for daycare centers and breastfeeding rooms at elite athletic events.)
