WHAT TO WEAR TO A WEDDING AS A BREASTFEEDING MOM
May 16, 2017 0 Comments
You've RSVP'd to a wedding or two in the past few months and now (what?!) June is a few weeks away. While planning our SS17 collection we wanted to include evening wear for nursing mothers. Specifically, ensembles for weddings, either fancy, laid back or beachy.
Read on to find the perfect breastfeeding friendly dress for your summer weddings!
Destination Beach Wedding
The Penelope Tank Dress: Sleeveless, soft and colorful, our Penelope would photograph so nicely on a beach :) This tank dress is versatile- dress it up for the ceremony and reception and then pair it with sandals and a beach bag and hit the beach. Comes in Light Blue and Burgundy.
Garden or Big Backyard Tent Reception
The Chloe Maxi Dress: A flowy maxi that turns heads when you leave a room. We're partial to the neon pink, but the yellow is a sunny second.
This dress was made for twirling on the dance floor at your best friend's wedding. If you don't want to wear black, try the Chloe in grey.
The Greta Top: Slimming and so easy to nurse & pump in. We can't explain it but the color combination gives you a glow. Wear it with an exquisitely tailored pair of pants, feel confident and beautiful.
Estate, Hotel or Cocktail Reception
The Aurora Cocktail Dress: So elegant, flattering, classic. Wear our cocktail dress to the swankiest function and look your best. And we've added a lovely removable capelet for a chilly evening & discreet nursing. Comes in Teal or Rust.
Once you've selected your outfit, there's nothing left to do but look forward to the day of a loved one's wedding. Someone else's labors provide a night of sustenance, a bit of libation and tunes.
Well, there are one or two things to remember. We anticipate some of the issues you might have at a ceremony and reception and have a few suggestions on what to bring. Wear nursing pads and bring multiples. We love Bamboobies. Definitely bring a hand pump if your baby won't be attending with you. We've used the Medela Harmony pump at past weddings. And of course, don't forget the bottle cooler to store your milk until you get home. We love this one.
Now there's really nothing left to do but enjoy your night out (except for the millions of things left to do xx.)
